Just like La Madeleine used to make (and still does)

This weekend, my sister Jillian came to visit and we had a family BBQ down at the pool. Well, with all this healthy eating and the vitamin regimen I have been on, we didn't really want to just throw some oily chips in a bowl and call it a side. So, being the little DIYers that we are, we decided to recreate the La Madeleine Pesto Pasta Salad. Oh boy, was it heavenly.

Steal of the Week

I woke up this morning to these adorable canisters in my inbox from One Kings Lane and I knew I had to share them with you all.

At 29.00 for all three, you can't really beat the price. True, it takes all the DIY fun out of it, but finding a great steal is always fun!

Polo-Equestrian Meets the Beach...Prints Inside

When Josh and I started the decorating process in the new apartment, we didn't really have a theme in mind. Well, one trip to Tuesday Morning, two beach-y, floral down pillows and a set of vintage wooden oars changed all that. We were now living in a beach apartment in landlocked Austin.

Fast forward a few months and although I love the pillows, I am starting to think they belong on our bed. As I mentioned in this earlier post, I love boats. I just think I am more a fan of the all-American beach style. Does that make sense? Just in case I sound as crazy as I think I do, check out a a few inspiration photos after the jump.

Holistic Health

I have been a bit obsessed with finding a daily vitamin regimen to help with fatigue and breakouts that I have been struggling with since moving into my apartment. I swear, there's something in the air. Well, if you're going to go on a health–kick, Austin is the place to do it. I find that Sprouts Market has the best selection of vitamins. HEB (four those of you outside of Texas, it is a popular grocery here) seems to have a ton of vitamins and pills but very little of what I need.

Movie of the Week

I am married to a total movie buff. Not only can he tell you every character in a movie and who played it, but who was originally going to play that character and why it didn't work out. He's kind of a prodigy. I on the other hand just love a great, feel–good movie. Well, that brings us to the newest weekly installment here at The Poppy Project: The Movie of the Week!

So head over to Netflix, grab a blanket and some popcorn and enjoy one of Anne Hathaway's best movies! Les Miser...what?

No Measure Phyllo Garlic, Tomato & Mozzarella Flatbread...Recipe Inside

Since I discovered Pinterest in 2011, I have been obsessed with Phyllo recipes. I. mean. obsessed. Fast-forward two years and I have finally made my first phyllo dish. It's a mix of a few different recipes I have pinned through the years, all wrapped into one warm, flaky rectangle of goodness.

Here is the finished product. Please excuse the ugly photos. I was just so excited to get this baby in the oven!

While scouring Pinterest for drink ideas to go with these Honey-Lime Chicken Skewers, I stumbled across these AMAZING fruit smoothie ice cubes from  Oh Joy! and oh, what a joy it was!

Wouldn't these lovelies look (and taste) great in a cute glass with a tiny umbrella?
